Short term psychosocial counseling training in Surkhet
Training on "Community based Psychosocial Care and Support” organized by Centre for Victims of Torture (CVICT), Nepal starts from 19– 28 September 2010 in Surkhet and supported by UNFPA .16 five participants from various VDCs of Surkhet District . The training focused on psychosocial problems and its identification and Psychosocial support linked with gender issues.
Training for enumerators on psychosocial, suicide and gender based violence
Training on psychosocial, suicide and gender based violence for research enumerators and survey assistants conducted by Centre for Victims of Torture, Nepal from a 30 August to 7th September 2010 in CVICT Kathmandu with support from UNFPA, UNIFEM and UNICEF organized by RCDSC .There were 16 ( 7 male 9 female) participants in the training from 7 different districts namely- Mahottari, Dhanusha, Kapilvastu, Kanchanpur, Surkhet, Gorkha and Rautahat. The content of the training included psychosocial, psychosocial problems, gender and GBV, suicide, basic communications skills, ethics and guidelines for conducting research and self care. Research in social and mental health issues needs a lot of sensitivity- especially while collecting data to gatherinformation on gender based violence and suicide.

Training on "Community based Psychosocial Care and Support” organized by Centre for Victims of Torture (CVICT), Nepal started from 1 – 10 September 2010 in Hotel Sweet dreams, Mahendra Nagar, Kanchanpur and supported by UNFPA .Twenty five participants from various VDCs of kanchanpur District . The training focused on psychosocial problems and its identification and Psychosocial support linked with gender issues.
