Short term psychosocial counseling training in Saptari

Training on "Community based Psychosocial Care and Support” organized by Centre for Victims of Torture, Nepal from 8 – 17 August 2010. Fifteen participants from various VDCs of Mohottari District . The training focused on psychosocial psychosocial problems and its identification and Psychosocial support linked with gender issues .

Refresher Training

Seven days Refresher Training for community based psychosocial counselor and field research assistant conducted by Centre for Victims of Torture, Nepal. The training program starts on the 9th 2010 in Chitwan. The Training program supported by McGill University.

Training on Basic Psychosocial Care and Support

Ten days Training on “Basic Psychosocial Care and Support” facilitated by Centre for Victims of Torture, Nepal and organized by Legal Aid and Consultancy Centre (LACC) . Seventeen participants from various districts. The training starts on the 8th August to 17 August y 2010 in Lalitpur.

Training on Gender Based Violence for Implementing Partners' Staffs

Capacity building of UNICEF Implementing Partners' Staffs and service providers in Biratnagar under UNICEF’s programme ‘Social re-integration and psychosocial support to self/ informally released CAAFAG and CAAC include verified minors and later recruits’ in process. The training starts on 22 July 2010 to 31 July 2010 in hotel Taj ,Nepalgunj.

Training on Gender Based Violence for Implementing Partners' Staffs

The training was conducted from the 14th July 2010 to 23rd July 2010 in hotel Eastern Star, Biratnagar

The main objectives of the program are:
• Develop the common understanding about sex and gender.
• Understanding the concept of gender.
• Develop knowledge about national and international approaches toward
Human Rights and Women Rights.
• To study and analysis about Gender Based Violence and develop skills to
provide psychosocial support.
• Develop knowledge about managing and decreasing Gender Based Violence.
