The English bulletin, Voice Against Organised Violence is published annually and contains a variety of articles about CVICT's work as well as more general issues about torture and human rights issues in Nepal. Voice is distributed to local and international NGOs, donors and friends of CVICT.
The CMP bulletin contains articles related to mediation issues as well as specific articles pertaining to CMP project running in Jhapa, Ilam and Saptari. This bulletin is published quarterly in Nepali and is distributed to VDCs and partner NGOs involved in the Community Mediation Project. |

| Community Mental Health Promotion Program in Nepal |
 |
This book deals about the package of interventions called Community Mental Health Promotion (CMHP), designed to prevent and treat psychosocial and mental health problems and to promote mental health and wellbeing of people in rural communities of Nepal. This book is written basically to describe the content and process of CMHP, so that it could be used by the Psychosocial Workers (PSWs), Counselors and other professionals and Paraprofessionals, who are working in the field of psychosocial and mental health (PSMH) care.
This book will also be useful to the organizations that are working in PSMH care or are willing to integrate and implement CMHP in their psychosocial programs. However, the book is not limited to the content and process of CMHP and deals about various aspects of mental health in four chapters.

Promoting Human Rights and Peace through Community Mediation |

The book is a success story of Community Mediation programme run by CVICT with assistance from ESP-DFID. The project has been able to establish that community mediation is the best medium for resolving local disputes in the community as the access to justice is very expensive and difficult for common Nepali People. |

| Integrating Psychosocial and Mental Health Care in Primary Health Care System |

The book published by CVICT with financial assistance from Save the Children, Norway is a finding of a research in three groups of population of the selected VDCs of Dang district i.e the community (villagers), the children and the health staffs who are located at the rural community to serve the people. Firstly, it examines how community understands and feels the need of the psychosocial services. Secondly, it documents the psychosocial / mental health condition of one specific group of the community. Thirdly, it examines the mental health knowledge and level of communication skills among the health staffs. The book could be a good reference to all people who want to carry out further study in these topics. |

The training programme is a skill based course that interchanges practical and theoretical classroom training with on the spot placements that are clinically supervised. |

This book is the outcome of an exploratory study on penal and prison systems in Nepal. It is neatly divided into six parts. Part one gives an account of the pressing need for penal reform in Nepal. Part two includes historical background of the Nepalese prison system in general. Part three outlines the shortcoming of the countries criminal justice system as a whole. Part four gives a detailed account of the most pressing of all penal reforms needed in Nepal, which is the prison system, and of the inhumane conditions in each of the 73 prisons. Part five outlines the moves towards penal reform in Nepal, and the concluding chapter, part six introduces a framework of recommendations and the fundamental changes necessary to reform each area of the judicial system in Nepal. Overall this is an extremely well documented book. |

The manual also contains illustrations of various methods of torture used. The artist working at CVICT has produced these illustrations. |
